The valley floor, where Glenmore started

"Lower Glenmore" is the term local REALTORS® use for the older, flatter part of the valley — as distinct from the newer growth up on the ridge in Glenmore Highlands and further north. It's not a separate MLS-tagged area (it falls under the same "Glenmore" designation as what we call Old Glenmore elsewhere on this site), but it's a real, commonly-used way of describing this specific stretch: mature trees, character homes on generous lots, and proximity to downtown that the newer parts of Glenmore don't have. If a listing calls itself "Lower Glenmore," you're looking at the same established neighbourhood covered on our main Glenmore page — just described from a different angle.

🌳
Mature, Established Streets

This is the oldest developed part of Glenmore — decades of tree growth, larger lots than newer subdivisions typically offer, and a settled, quiet feel.

🚗
Closest to Downtown

Being on the valley floor near the Glenmore/Knox Mountain boundary, Lower Glenmore is a shorter drive to downtown Kelowna than anything further up the ridge or north.

Golf Club Access

The Okanagan Golf Club and Kelowna Golf & Country Club are both close by, part of what's made this stretch of Glenmore a long-standing draw for established buyers.
